ABOUT ME | SOBRE MI

Hey there, my name is Saraí Merino Vega, and I am a Bronx native, matcha-loving, joyful believer in Jesus, with a knack for all things creative. I love to draw, paint, take photos, collage, and write. I believe that God has given us many creative talents, and my hope is to help you boldly share the talents God has given you and to grow in the discipline of creating by abiding in God’s presence.

I’m passionate about mental health, acknowledging that the deepest form of healing is found in renewing our minds in the Lord, and healing at the pace that God leads. I believe all people should learn emotional intelligence rather than numbing ourselves or falling into old, broken generational patterns of relating. I’m an imperfect vessel with a perfect God who is still healing old wounds.

I love learning new skills (like sewing!), improving on old ones, and most importantly, creating art that speaks to our souls and spirits. I want to produce a fruit-filled creation, divinely inspired by God’s Spirit. What I create is through the leading of the Holy Spirit, because ultimately, the Spirit we do something in is what will be infused in what we put our hands to.

Maybe you believe, maybe you don’t. Regardless, my prayer is that if you are here reading this, what I create can be a blessing to you – not only by encompassing the human experience – both the pain of existing in a fallen world with a sin nature, and the beauty and joy of a life surrendered to God – but also by bringing genuine hope and encouragement for transformation.

I pray the Lord abundantly blesses the soul reading this with the revelation of Jesus Christ, going from glory to glory, and receiving much healing, understanding, wisdom, and eyes to see yourself and others the way that Jesus sees us all – through the eyes of love!

I am here to love and serve you, and I hope that if you are reading this and are led to connect, that we can have a fruitful connection! It’s a privilege and a blessing to serve God’s beautiful people.

This website is vast and always changing, so I hope you come back to visit!

Currently, the free things you’ll find here are blog posts musing about what I’m learning in life, my photography portfolio, some videos I’ve made (I have a YouTube channel where I post my videos as well), paintings, and drawings (currently documenting these).

The services I sell include portrait photography sessions, prints of the paintings I have already made, commissioned paintings and drawings, and nature and faith-inspired jewelry!

I have a page where you can request any of my services, including my rates and fees.

Thanks for reading and considering the art I make! Your support is deeply appreciated.

The title for both my website and the ministry I have birthed with the Lord is Growing (Deep) Roots in God’s Love, and was deeply influenced and rooted in (no pun intended, haha) by the Biblical passage below. I plan on being more active in this ministry, with Bible studies, words of encouragement, and cinematic musings with the Lord. On YouTube, I plan to make long-form content, such as video essays and personal vlogs. I pray my ministry is a blessing to you.

I leave you with this Biblical passage, which is my prayer for both you and me.

Ephesians 3:14-21 (NLT) Paul’s Prayer for Spiritual Growth
when i think of all this, i fall to my knees and pray to the Father, the Creator of everything in heaven and on earth. i pray that from His glorious, unlimited resources He will empower you with inner strength through his Spirit. then Christ will make his home in your hearts as you trust in Him. your roots will grow down into God’s love and keep you strong. and may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep His love is. may you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.
now all glory to God, who is able, through His mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or thinkGlory to Him in the church and in Christ Jesus through all generations forever and ever!

Amen.
